Date: 10/4/04 Time: 2338
hrs At 2338 hrs, a Lower Makefield police officer was dispatched to a residential burglary alarm at 2072 Silverwood Dr. Upon his arrival at the scene he saw smoke coming from the garage area and some windows of a large, 2 story house. At 2359 hrs, Tactical Box 80-19 was dispatched. Units onscene found a fire in the attached 3-car garage area involving a trash can and a riding lawn mower. The fire was quickly knocked down with minimal fire and smoke damage. Medic 145 transported a male in his 30's to St. Mary's Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation and burns from trying to extinguish the fire prior to FD arrival. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Lower Makefield Fire Marshall's Office. Units onscene:
